Hinduism-a way of life.

Introduction.

  Hinduism is the way of life, the sentence has been critically discussed in many articles, but we cannot reach the base of the sentence. It has many dimensions, relates different stage of life in Hinduism. The Hinduism history, passes through cultural evolution from the beginning. It could not express in a single frame. Sociologist does not consider Hinduism as a religion because it does not fit into the common belief of religion. Furthermore, it does not have a founder, Nor particular secret text. Hindu philosophy, practically based on Dharma. Let us discuss in brief.

1. Dharma.

  Dharma stands for moral laws and duties for all devotees. The Dharma is the first part of ‘Purushartha’ and it is based on the philosophy of the first ‘Ashrama’ namely ‘Brahmacharya’. The Hinduism philosophy, is based on the first pillar of Hinduism, Dharma. Dharma is the highest duty of all Hindus on Earth. The devotees served the God as a master of their whole life. The Hindus are closely associated himself with the almighty God. The philosophy behind this is, serving God they get freedom or Mokhs from the circle of rebirth. Rebirth means suffering and pain from the ‘sanser’ or life. Therefore, they perform their duties throughout their life.

2. Nation of Karma.

Karma is the action or binding by the notion of Dharma. The law of karma, regarded as universal for all Hindus. Karma means physical and mental action in the life of the devotee. Hindus desire for good Karma. They believe performing divinities and rituals action in a prescribe manner, Hindus get mokshs or freedom from the life cycle. Hindus perform good karma in their whole life to please the God. Karma is the continuous practice of Hindu devotee and become the way of life.

3. Notion of Bhakt.

Bhakt is an uttam purush, an ideal man in Hinduism. A Bhakta is sacrificed his life towards God. He sacrificed his body and soul to serve the eternal God. They live in detachment from Sansar. They pursue their karma by dedicated themselves towards the rituals of Sanatana Dharma. Radha Kamal Mukherjee conceptualise Bhakta as an ideal person. Sometimes they practice renunciation to attain the eternal truth. Their action is lifelong. They sacrificed themselves in every event of their life silently towords the God. They take Sanatana Dharma is a way of life, and they are tasked to attainment of the truth through devotion towords God.

4. Sansker.

Sanskar is a series of reforms, sacrifice and rities of Hinduism. There are sixteen Sanskar related to the Hindu philosophy. The life of Hindus is bounded by the notion of Sanskar. For example, Namkaran, Vivaha etc. Sanskars are the duties of a person in their whole life. He is expected to perform his duties in the various stage or ashram’s in his life. A person shows his obedience to the divinities in their religious life. Sansker is not only religious but also a social obligation of Hindus. It is related to the base of Hindu society in every event of social life. A devotee cannot fulfill his religious circle without practicing the Sanskar. It is related to the basic structure of Hindu society and ritual. Therefore, in Hinduism, devotee passes through the essential rituals called sanskar in their whole life span. This devotion is the way of life of Hindus.

5. Hinduism- A religion of society.

The sociologists describe Hinduism in different way. In the study of Hinduism, they observed it associated with different essential units of society. The caste system is one of them. The Hinduism absorb all the caste and tribe in the mainstream of the religion. The Sanskritization is the process in which the tribe absorbed in the mainstream Hinduism. Most significantly, the lower caste and tribe are quite comfortably absorbs in the Hinduism. They perform their custom in the boundary of Hinduism. Therefore, Hinduism cover all the section of society and become a religion of society.


Conclusion.

  Hinduism has not only religious  but also cultural aspects in the social life of Hindus. Hinduism based on the notion of Dharma. The Dharma based on the rituals, and it connects all the stages of human life in the frame of Hindu religion. The devotee perform duties in whole life to get the eternal truth or God. Hindu’s perform their religious as a way of life.
