 Introduction

Fundamentalism was a conservative movement emerged in nineteenth and twentieth century. The term fundamentalism was coined in 1920. It was mostly related with conservative Protestant. They were against the Biological evolution theory of Charles Darwin. They were against the thought that species change or evolve overtime through the appearance of new trains that slowly modifies ancestral form until their form distinct and different. Concept of fundamentalism

Fundamentalism rejects diversity of opinion and belief. They are against religious pluralism in their society and establish the fundamental law of their religion. They are main target to save their society from the other religion and non religion influence. 

  Religious fundamentalism is a set of beliefs and practices that guided the people to obtain salvation. They believe in the teaching of their own religious teacher or God. McCullough and Willoughby Expressed religious fundamentalism increased self-regulation and self-control.
   It is not confined to the followers of anyone religion. It is found in many religions such as Christians, Muslims, Jews, Hindus, Sikhs etc. It’s adaptability among the followers of different religion varies for different reasons. 

Basic features of fundamentalism. 

  • They are talk about the fundamental tenets of a religion. The returns of original formulations and meanings of religion. It means, establishment of religions in regarding with their fast and ancient text.
   • There is not required any interpretation of they are original text or holy books. They want to establish the religious structure of their religion according to the fast text. There is no interpretation or debate of the meaning of a religion. 
  • The first text of a religion are seen as god's own word. Therefore, their meaning Is clear and unambiguous. No human can interpreted the original form of religious text. The Muslim fundamentalist believed in Quran. The god’s word permanently given in Quran. The Hindus believed in vaidas God's own words permanently written in the book.   
  • In modern time, the fundamentalist gives effort to interpret the underline meaning of their religious text but doesn’t talk about amend the religious text. 
  • God’s word and love are the basis of a society. But It is not bounded in society, it also controls the economy, culture and other aspect of society. It is mostly related to entire domestic and personal life of a religious man. The truth it only lies in the religion text. Therefore, the believer follow the religious text to their entire life. 
  • Fundamentalists do not believe in the equality of all religions. They believe that they are religion is the superior religion in the world. They are also oppose to the liberty of other religion. Furthermore, they do not provide the equal opportunity of all religion in their dominant region. 
  • The fundamentalist opposed rationalism, humanism and secularism.
   • The fundamentalist opposed the idea of sovereignty and democracy. They are only believe on the law of God and the God's word in holy text. 
  • Fundamentalists opposed the separation of religion from politics and state. They are against the idea of secular state or country. The god’s word supreme and final. Therefore, The political and state ruled must be control under the law of course. It is impossible to separate the political rules from the rules of the supreme God. 
  • Fundamentalists insist on religious control over education. In 1964, Pope Rius IX issued first modern statement of Religious fundamentalism, namely, ‘The syllabus of modern errors’. In his views, “That form civil law dissent and depend on all the right of parents over their children, and above all, the right of instructing and educating them”. The fundamentalist opposed the modern state run or state support school because the schools are not follow the teaching of Catholic charts or religious instruction of god’s. They are advocated for establishment of school which follows the traditional religious instruction of the God. 
  • The Muslim fundamentalist demand that all the laws must be derived from the Quran and the Sunnah. They are believed in the teaching of Quran. The belief in their traditional penal code system. They want to impose their traditional low for justice such as, death punishment, stoning etc. 

Example of fundamentalism. 

  The American fundamentalists, Gray North said that The Bible contains all the answer of today's problem that an individual face. In his word “The concrete, day to day problems of economics, family relationships, politics, law, medicine, and all other area of life” lies in the Bible.
  Judge Abdul-Jawed Yasin rejects modern secular notion of religion. In his world economic Affairs, social affairs, family affairs legal and administrative affairs they’re all in the domain of religious affairs. Moreover, a Muslim fundamentalist view is God’s Final religion contains all the lesson required. 

Conclusion.

 In religious fundamentalism, the fundamentalists reject the pluralist principle of “many Gods, many moralities, many laws”. They believe in the primary form of religion that assumed as the word of God. They don’t provide any spaces to other religion for establishment of their religious lows. The Political and educational system must be flourished in the domain of the religion.
